On 13 July 1999 Bun Rany Hun Sen ordered Dr Heng Tay Kry, then the director of Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh, to assassinate Piseth Pilika with a lethal injection. The young woman had an affair with Hun Sen and was wounded a few days before by unidentified assailants.
