លោក សម រង្ស៊ី បានចូលរួមពិធីបុណ្យអុំទូកនៅទីក្រុងឡូវែល សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក ដោយមានការស្វាគមន៍យ៉ាងកក់ក្តៅ ពីខ្មែរអាមេរិកាំងខ្មែរកាណាដា មកពីរដ្ឋផ្សេងៗទៀត។ ពិធីបុណ្យអុំទូកនៅសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកនេះ ត្រូវបានប្រារពធ្វើជាប្រចាំឆ្នាំដូចនៅប្រទេសកម្ពុជាយើងដែរ។

ជាមួយគ្នានេះផងដែរ ខ្មែរអាមេរិកាំងជាច្រើន ក៏បានចូលរួមគ្នាប្រកាស់ការពារទឹកដី សម្តែង​មតិតវ៉ាប្រឆាំងនិងគម្រោងតំបន់ត្រីកោណ CLV ទាមទារឲ្យហ៊ុនសែនដកខ្លួនពី CLV។

Mr. Sam Rainsy attended the Water Festival in Lowell, USA, where he was warmly welcomed by Cambodian Americans and Cambodian Canadians from various states. The Water Festival, celebrated annually in the United States just as it is in Cambodia, saw active participation from many Cambodian Americans. At the same time, Cambodians expressed their commitment to defending their homeland, protested against the CLV triangle development project, and demanded that Hun Sen withdraw from the CLV.
