Today, a French court begins the trial of Hun Sen’s bodyguard for the March 30, 1997 grenade attack on peaceful protesters. Hing Bun Heang is serving the sentence in Hun Sen’s place, but we remain committed to seeking justice for all victims.

Follow the hearing in Paris this week, March 19-21. The verdict will cast uncertainty over the relationship between Hun Sen and Hing Bun Hieng, as Hun Sen fears that Hing Bun Hieng may one day expose the truth. Sooner or later, Hun Sen will eliminate Hing Bun Heang, just as Hok Lundy was silenced.
