This initiative is in line with Sam Rainsy's idea as proposed in his article of March 27, "How to Prevent COVID-19 from Paralysing the World's Economy" in The Geopolitics.

IMMUNITY PASSPORT IN THE CONTEXT OF COVID-19

On 27 March 2020 Cambodia's Sam Rainsy was the first to elaborate on the concept of an immunity passport through his article in The Geopolitics "How to Prevent COVID-19 from Paralysing the World's Economy": "My idea is to look at the other side of pandemic, that is to say the people who – most often without realising it – are not, or will no longer be, vulnerable to COVID-19. The idea is to identify this immunised population through a serological test which detects antibodies. Those who have developed immunity as reflected by their antibodies would immediately return to work, without danger to themselves or the rest of the population."
