អ្នកខ្លះតែងតែសួរខ្ញុំថា សម័យខ្មែរក្រហម ខ្ញុំនៅឯណា ហើយធ្វើអី? កាលពីឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៥ ខ្ញុំទើបតែរៀនចប់នៅប្រទេសបារាំង ហើយចាប់ផ្តើមធ្វើការនៅធនាគារមួយនៅទីក្រុងប៉ារីស។ ពីឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៥ ដល់ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៩ ខ្ញុំឆ្លៀតពេល ក្រៅម៉ោងធ្វើការចិញ្ចឹមជីវិត ដើម្បីសរសេរ ចាត់ចែង និង ផ្សព្វផ្សាយពីប្រទេសបារាំង ព្រឹត្តិបត្រព័ត៌មានមួយឈ្មោះ សេរីកា (Sereika) សម្លេងកម្ពុជាសេរី (La Voix du Cambodge libre) ក្នុងគោលបំណង លាតត្រដាងស្ថានការណ៍ពិតនៅប្រទេសកម្ពុជា ឲ្យអន្តរជាតិបានដឹងឮ ព្រមទាំងប្រឆាំងពួកខ្មែរក្រហមប្រល័យពូជសាសន៍ តាមផ្លូវនយោបាយ និងផ្លូវទូត។

(*) I have been asked about my whereabouts and my action, if any, during the time when the murderous Khmer Rouge ruled Cambodia. In 1975 I had just completed my studies in France and started to work as a bank financial analyst in Paris. From 1975 to 1979, whenever I had some free time from work, I contributed to an information bulletin named Sereika (Liberation), the Voice of Free Cambodia, which I published from France in order to expose the appalling situation in Cambodia for the international community and to combat the Khmer Rouge regime through political and diplomatic means.
