នៅថ្ងៃទី ៣០ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ ១៩៩៧ លោក សម រង្ស៊ី ប្រធានគណបក្សជាតិខ្មែរ បានដឹកនាំបាតុកម្មអហិង្សា នៅមុខមន្ទីររដ្ឋសភាចាស់ ទាមទាររកយុត្តិធម៌សង្គម ទាមទារលក្ខខណ្ឌការងារជូនក្រុមកម្មករ និងទាមទារឲ្យមានការកែទម្រង់ប្រព័ន្ធតុលាការ។ ជាអកុសល ក្រុមឧក្រិដ្ឋជន បានវាយប្រហារដោយប្រើគ្រាប់បែកដៃចំនួន ៤ គ្រាប់ មកលើហ្វូងបាតុករអហិង្សា បណ្ដាលឲ្យមនុស្សស្លាប់យ៉ាងតិច ១៦ នាក់ និងរបួសជិត ២០០ នាក់៕

March 30, 1997 grenade attack, an act of state terrorism perpetrated on an opposition rally for judicial system reform in Cambodia led by Mr. Sam Rainsy, president of the Khmer Nation Party in front of the National Assembly building, leaving at least 16 dead and nearly 200 injured.

ជារៀងរាល់ឆ្នាំ នៅថ្ងៃ ៣០ មីនា យើងតែងតែប្រារព្ធពិធីបង្សុកូលឧទ្ទិសបុណ្យកុសល ជូនដល់ដួងវិញ្ញាណក្ខន្ធជនរងគ្រោះយ៉ាងតិច ១៦ នាក់ ដែលបានបាត់បង់ជីវិតក្នុងការគប់គ្រាប់បែក នៅទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី ៣០ ខែ មីនា ឆ្នាំ ១៩៩៧ សូមបងប្អូនកូនក្មួយទាំងអស់ ចងចាំពីវីរភាព របស់វីរបាតុករ ដែលបានបូជាជីវិត ដើម្បីលទ្ធិប្រជាធិបតេយ្យ សេរីភាព និងយុត្តិធម៌ ក្នុងសោកនាដកម្មនោះ។

We must never forget the heroism of those courageous protesters who sacrificed their lives for democracy, freedom and justice.
