លោកព្រឹទ្ធសមាជិក André Gattolin មានប្រសាសន៍ថា សហគមអឺរ៉ុបទើបបានចេញរបាយការណ៍ អំពី ការដកការអនុគ្រោះពន្ធពីកម្ពុជា ក្រោយពីរបបលោក ហ៊ុន សែន បានរំលោភសិទ្ធិមនុស្ស និងសិទ្ធិការងារយ៉ាងធ្ងន់ធ្ងរ។ «ថ្មីៗនេះ ក្រោមគំនាប លោក ហ៊ុន សែន បានបន្ធូរបន្តិចបន្តួច នូវលក្ខណៈនៃការឃុំឃាំងថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំម្នាក់ គឺលោក កឹម សុខា ហើយប្រធានគណបក្សសង្រ្គោះជាតិ ដែលត្រូវនិរទេសខ្លួន បានទទួលស្វាគមដ៏កក់ក្ដៅ នៅប្រទេសម៉ាឡេស៊ី ហើយព្រឹកមិញ នៅប្រទេសឥណ្ឌូណេស៊ី...ប្រទេសបារាំងគួរដល់ពេលវេលាប្រកាន់មុខងារយ៉ាងសកម្ម ដើម្បីទាញកម្ពុជា មកកាន់ផ្លូវលទ្ធិប្រជាធិបតេយ្យវិញ...។
លោក Jean Baptiste Lemoyne រដ្ឋលេខាធិការក្រសួងការបរទេសបារាំងនិងអឺរ៉ុប បានឆ្លើយបញ្ជាក់គោលជំហរបារាំងថា រដ្ឋាភិបាលបារាំងមិនអាចព្រងើយកន្តើយចំពោះស្ថានការណ៍នៅកម្ពុជាបានទេ។ អឺរ៉ុបមិនគ្រាន់តែជាទីផ្សារទេ អឺរ៉ុបមានគុណតម្លៃ ជាពិសេស តម្លៃមនុស្ស បារាំងសុំឲ្យមានការចាប់ផ្ដើមសន្ទនា ដើម្បីរកផ្លូវប្រជាធិបតេយ្យឡើងវិញ។ ពុំនោះទេ យើងនឹងបង្ខំចិត្តដកប្រពន្ធអនុគ្រោះពន្ធ EBA នៅខែកុម្ភៈខាងមុខនេះ។
Debate at the French senate. Senator André Gattolin raised the question of EU preliminary report on the suspension of the EBA tariffs preferences scheme that has been submitted to Cambodia yesterday . « ... Under pressure, the Hun Sen regime has eased the detention conditions of one of the opposition leaders Mr. kem Sokha and the interim president Mr. Sam Rainsy has been warmly welcomed these last days in Malaysia and Indonesia ... France should take an active role in order to bring Cambodia back to democracy path in conformity with the 1991 paris peace agreement... ».
The French Secretary of State for foreign affairs and Europe Jean Baptiste Lemoyne responded: « the French government cannot sit idle with regards to the situation in Cambodia..... Europe is not only a market but also made of human values ...the French government urges the Cambodia authorities to initiate a dialogue. ...without clear and verifiable improvement , we will be obliged next February to suspend the EBA scheme ».
